Passing By a Woman
I see a constellation in your scarf
and it reminds me of home.
That gypsy scarf
the universal goddess
swimming in scarves
and there you sit
wearing it
draped in the beauty of the sunless sky.
Each brilliant movement
an earth-colored woman
her dark hair falling
like a black sea over
hot, bare shoulders
and smoldering skin
is spinning and dancing
and flashing her eyes
the moon glowing darkly within them.
